1. What this policy covers
This policy explains how Tortera Holdings Ltd ("we") uses cookies and similar technologies — including localStorage, sessionStorage, and pixels — on esearchcy.com. It should be read together with our Privacy Notice.
Cookies are small text files placed on your device. localStorage and sessionStorage are browser storage areas used for similar purposes; references to "cookies" below include these technologies.
2. Categories we use
a. Strictly necessary (always active — no consent required)
Required for the Platform to function: authentication and session management, security (e.g. fraud and abuse prevention), load balancing, remembering your cookie preferences, and processing checkout.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| esc_token (localStorage) | ESearchCy | Keeps you signed in (our own session token) | Until sign-out, or up to 30 days |
| esc_cookie_consent (localStorage) | ESearchCy | Stores your cookie choices | 12 months |
b. Functional (consent required)
Remember choices you make (e.g. language, interface preferences) to personalise your experience.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|
c. Analytics / performance (consent required)
Help us understand how visitors use the Platform (pages visited, errors, load times) so we can improve it. We do not currently use analytics cookies. If we introduce them, they will only be set with your consent and this policy will be updated first.
d. Marketing
We do not use marketing cookies.
e. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties whose services are embedded in the Platform (e.g. Stripe at checkout, Google Firebase infrastructure). Their use of data is governed by their own policies:
f. localStorage / sessionStorage
We use browser storage for: your sign-in session (esc_token), your cookie choices, and a referral code when you arrive through an invite link. Items classified as non-essential are only written after consent.
3. Your choices
- On your first visit, a cookie banner lets you Accept all, Reject non-essential, or Manage preferences per category. Non-essential cookies are not set until you consent.
- Change your mind at any time via the "Cookie settings" link in the footer (or in your account settings), which reopens the preferences panel. Withdrawing consent stops future use; you can also delete existing cookies via your browser.
- Browser controls: most browsers let you block or delete cookies (see your browser's help pages). Blocking strictly necessary cookies may break sign-in and checkout.
- We honour your choices per device and browser; if you clear storage or use another device, you will be asked again.
Your consent choices (the categories you selected, how you selected them, the policy version and a timestamp) are stored only in your own browser, in localStorage under esc_cookie_consent. They are not sent to us and we keep no server-side record of them. That means we cannot see, restore or produce your choices — clearing your browser storage erases them and the banner will ask you again — and it also means we hold no personal data about your consent. When the Cookie Policy version changes, any stored consent for an older version is ignored and the banner reappears.
4. Changes
We may update this policy as our use of cookies changes; the banner will be re-shown where new consent is required. Material changes are indicated by the "Last updated" date and version above.
